Eric L. Martin (Former President and CEO of Music for All) Joins Scholarship Auditions Team

CEO Dr. Randall A. Bayne announced that Eric L. Martin, Esquire., CFEE has joined the team as its President.  Mr. Martin will oversee and support the team in successful program implementation and its day to the day operations. “Mr. Martin brings with him an abundance of institutional knowledge and executive operations experience,” says Dr. Bayne, who is also’s founder.  “He comes to us at a critical time,” he adds.  “Even in the midst of navigating and responding appropriately to the COVID-19 pandemic, continues to expand its portfolio of programs and offerings that inspire and engage our nation’s scholastic performing arts students to maximize their artistic achievement, recognize their potential, and access the wealth of opportunities available to support their development and eliminate financial barriers.”

Mr. Martin’s interim appointment anticipates long-term engagement and affiliation.  “Joining the team and helping realize its vision aligns well with my own passion to inspire, support and empower young men and women to envision exceptional outcomes, to recognize and pursue opportunity, and to identify and assure pathways and access to tools and support necessary to achieve them.  It is a privilege and honor to part of team and family,” said Mr. Martin.
Prior to joining, Mr. Martin was President and Chief Executive of Music for All, Inc. and its Bands of America affiliate.  Mr. Martin joined Bands of America in 1996, serving first as Vice President and COO, before being elected President and CEO in 2010.  As CEO, Mr. Martin led fiscal recovery and institutional development initiatives that took MFA from a negative $750K fund balance and “going concern” note in its audited financials to a positive fund balance in excess of $1.3M. Mr. Martin oversaw a decade of growth in programming and participant reach that included expansion of Bands of America events and programs, successful introduction of choral, chamber and middle school programming, creation of a national affiliate regional program serving bands, orchestras and choirs, and the creation and implementation of new scholastic advocacy and equity initiatives and affiliations that made Music for All a highly engaged, nationally recognized leader in the field.
