The Summit kicks off Thursday October 24, 2019 in the historic Fashion District of Downtown Los Angeles
For the second year in a row, global makeup artist Sir John will discuss his experiences with representation & inclusion, and the beauty industry’s current state of diversity at the DIVERSITY IN BEAUTY® Summit, October 24-25, 2019 in Downtown L.A.
“He has always been an early supporter of the movement and we’re super excited to have him back,” DIVERSITY IN BEAUTY® Founder, Tia Tappan, said of Sir John, who headlined its first Summit in May 2018.
Other VIP guests confirmed for the DIVERSITY IN BEAUTY® Summit include Thembi So of The Shade Room, Global Beauty Director at ESSENCE Magazine Julee Wilson and 2019 Miss America Nia Franklin. More speakers will be announced in the following weeks.
The event format for the Summit is two parts: panel discussions + shopping. The shopping element, called the Inclusive Beauty Lounge, is DIVERSITY IN BEAUTY‘s signature experience featuring beauty and self-care brands all owned by people of color and members of the LGBTQ community.
