Successful Medical Mission Organizer and Nurse Publishes Memoir entitled, “The Path of Caring and Sharing,” at 37th PNAA Annual National Convention in Washington, DC

Mrs. Alice Namata Andam, RN, BSN shares her life’s story as a medical mission organizer in her memoir entitled, “The Path of Caring and Sharing,” released in conjunction with the 37th Philippine Nurses Association of America, Inc. (PNAA) annual national convention in Washington, DC. Now in its 37th year, this is the second time that the PNAA conference will be held in the nation's capital, which is expected to have the largest delegation of nursing professionals from all over the country.

This memoir seeks to shed light on the enduring struggles faced and successes achieved by Mrs. Andam. At each critical juncture, she describes her continued determination and resiliency to overcome her humble beginnings in her newly adopted country, the United States. Similar to the stories of many other Filipino-Americans of her generation, she desires to provide a better life for her family and loved ones, ultimately paving the way for many of them to bear witness to their own personal successes because of the sacrifices endured.

The book launch will be moderated by Mr. Patrick Realiza, Co-Executive Director of the Mid Atlantic Foundation for Asian Artists, Inc. (MAFFAA).

Mrs. Andam’s memoir ultimate reflection of her trials and tribulations. She presents in calm and collected account of her gratitude to be afforded so many great opportunities in the United States. In addition, providing unprecedented details to her assumed strengths and weaknesses that many of who known her have yet to become informed of until now. Those seeking to learn about the importance of caring and sharing are sure to be inspired upon attending this event.
