2021-02-18 09:00:00 - United States, California, Los Angeles - (PR Distribution™)

Dr. Michael Everest of The Everest Foundation recently partnered with famed actor Danny Trejo to feed frontline workers and their families. The Everest Foundation is a non-profit organization involved in charitable endeavors that assist humankind. They also provide opportunities for advancement in medical education and innovative research.

Giving Back to Frontline Workers

Dr. Michael Everest and Danny Trejo have donated food to over 800 families of frontline workers since the holidays. The socially-distanced food drive was held at the East Los Angeles Civic Center. L.A. County Supervisor, Hilda Solis, was also on hand, accepting generous donations from the public at large. Trejo' Tacos offered food bowls to families of frontline workers and those that work in the hospitality industry.

With the current pandemic, Dr. Michael Everest and his team understand how hard it is for workers to keep their spirits. From financial issues to emotional strain, many families are suffering insurmountable debt and ongoing problems. Danny Trejo echoes these sentiments and, working with Dr. Michael Everest and The Everest Foundation has helped the East L.A. community a great deal.

Dr. Michael Everest wanted to spread some much-needed joy during this past holiday season. In a statement to NBC Los Angeles, he reflected, "We are grateful to be working with Trejo's Tacos to give back to such an important community." The restaurant is owned by Danny Trejo, a veteran actor who has appeared in many films such as Heat, From Dusk til Dawn, A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, and more.

The "Michael Everest and Trejo" Team-Up

Danny Trejo has several restaurants in the Greater Los Angeles area and a cookbook with the same name as his restaurant. Dr. Michael Everest is a world-renowned figure in the global philanthropic community. He is the Founder and Chief Academic Officer of Residents Medical and The Everest Foundation -- pioneers in medical research and charitable endeavors.

With over 25 years of extensive experience, Dr. Michael Everest continues to assist communities in need with medical care and services. He also assists medical students and graduates with core-based strategies that empower them to achieve monumental success in all medical initiatives. He works with government health systems and grassroots philanthropic causes that better humankind and put smiles on people's faces.

His partnership with Trejo's Tacos has embodied the spirit of planned outreach programs. Similarly, it has offered much-needed aid to homeless veterans and areas of the city most affected by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. As responsible citizens, Dr. Michael Everest and Danny Trejo believe it's important to help others and bring everyone closer.

Everest's Constant Outreach in Los Angeles

As a long-time resident of Los Angeles, Dr. Everest has organized similar food drives to assist families in the inner-cities. From meals to living essentials, these programs continue to provide opportunities for one and all.

Along with Danny Trejo's 'Bibles and Tacos' outreach program, Dr. Everest continues to work with volunteers to offer hope and positivity to frontline workers and families dealing with economic hardship during these uncertain times.

Looking Forward to the Future

Both Dr. Everest and Danny Trejo continue to receive praise for the hard work they -- and their volunteers -- have put in to alleviate some of the stress and tension felt by families in East Los Angeles. They continue to assist medical faculty and staff at the Westside VA -- helping U.S. veterans receive proper medical care, food, and vital essentials.

With Dr. Michael Everest at the helm, The Everest Foundation looks forward to working with Danny Trejo and other community leaders in the near future again. From aiding the homeless to providing much-needed necessities for frontline workers, now is the time for all of us to come together and do what we can to help those less fortunate.
