2020-11-18 17:00:00 - United States, Ohio, Cincinnati - (PR Distribution™)

Online event entitled, “Weed to Know - Need to Know: Cannabis (Marijuana) in Pregnancy & Lactation,” will be held on Tuesday, December 1st

The National Association of Neonatal Therapists (NANT) will host a live, 90-minute Virtual Summit including a live Q & A on Tuesday, December 1st from 1:00 – 2:30 PM EST.

The special guest speaker will be Maureen Shogan, MN, RNC, the Clinical Director for a project funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). This presentation will cover a full range of history, evidence, progress, and outcomes surrounding the specific effects of cannabis use during and after pregnancy. Participants will also learn about neurodevelopmental changes that may be observed at birth, as well as strategies for care.

“This content is extremely relevant as newborn and child outcomes of prenatal cannabis exposure will be discussed,” states NANT Founder and President Sue Ludwig, OTR/L, CNT. “We are thrilled to offer the opportunity for our colleagues to learn directly from Maureen Shogan, a true subject matter expert.”

Weed to Know - Need to Know: Cannabis (Marijuana) in Pregnancy & Lactation is a complimentary virtual event. It will include a Q & A session at the conclusion of the program, and a recording will be made available to all registrants.

This course offers CE Credit for OTs, PTs, SLPs, and Nurses. Learners must view the entire presentation and complete a learning assessment to receive CE Credit.  Partial credit will not be awarded.

“The structure of this annual online event is ideal for introducing highly relevant subject matter to a global audience,” said Ludwig.
