THERAPYTOPIA LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN TO SUPPORT LAID-OFF AMERICANS National mental health organization offers COVID-19 Thrive Campaign for those struggling JACKSONVILLE,
Florida (May 5, 2020) – To address the needs of out-of-work Americans, TherapyTopia is offering Workplace Mental Wellness Solutions, which provides free virtual mental health and career coaching services at a time when people need it most. TherapyTopia’s goal is to help 1 million Americans re-enter the workforce through its COVID-19 Thrive Campaign.
To support this mission, TherapyTopia has designed a sponsorship structure that, at minimum, supports three types of individuals – a laid-off worker, virtual therapist, and support staff member – for six months. These Outplacement Mental Wellness Services are a fusion of Outplacement Services and Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), two services that typically don’t go together. “Our COVID-19 Thrive Campaign is creating two jobs (virtual therapist and support staff member), who are helping a third person get back on their feet,” explained Lequita Brooks,
Founder and CEO of TherapyTopia and innovator of Outplacement Mental Wellness Services. “Those out of work need mental health and career coaching support to re-enter the workforce. People are grieving job loss, loss of normalcy, fear of the unknown, and the uncertainty of what happens next.” Outplacement Mental Wellness Services offers different sponsorship levels – including six months of virtual coaching support via a HIPAA-compliant platform, unlimited text support, individualized COVID-19 Thrive Plan, solution-focused strategies, and referrals for additional services as-needed.
“Company sponsorships are the ideal way for businesses to help laid-off employees re-enter the workforce,” said Brooks. “There’s a way for any individual, philanthropist, or company to get involved in this campaign including volunteer positions, individual benefactors, and company sponsorships. Like everyone else, we’re evolving to meet new workplace demands in unnavigated times.”
