Former Air Force C-130 pilot and founder of TurboPUP ’Complete K9 Meals on the Go!’, Kristina Guerrero, successfully swam with the sharks on the popular ABC show Shark Tank in January 2015. Facing five “sharks” she wowed them with her canine products, and walked away with a $100,000 investment from Daymond John.
Just a year after their collaboration, TurboPUP launched K9 Superfood Snacks in the first new line extension from the TurboPUP “Complete K9 Meal Bar” family. Guerrero’s commitment to promoting canine health and wellness for pups made her snacks an obvious choice for Kroger groceries, who signed up for a 6 month exclusive deal.
TurboPUP, was first inspired by Guerrero’s hungry pooch Dunkan, on a backcountry ski trip. She built the company and product from scratch in 2011, drawing on the skills and initiative she gained from over 12 years in active duty in the U.S. Air Force and in the reserves serving as a C130 pilot in Operations Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and on the Horn of Africa.
