Local TV stations in cities across the U.S. will soon be changing frequencies, which will affect residents who watch free, over-the-air TV using an antenna. Between now and July 2020, those affected will be required to rescan their TV once a station moves frequencies.
The scan is similar to what was required when residents’ first set up TV or converter boxes.
While the process doesn’t require new equipment or assistance, many affected will still have questions. Having extra manpower during the scan is beneficial to the TV networks.
