Death and physical injuries are the obvious and prominent consequences of war and murder but the long-term ramifications on mental health are immeasurable and must never be overlooked. Think
about the emotional toll on the parents whose baby was burnt to death in Ambazonia by the military of La Republique du Cameroun! Think about the psychological toll on the husband who was forced to watch his wife being raped by the military! Think about the families whose sons and daughters have been killed and buried in mass graves with no farewell burial ceremony accorded them!
29 children were murdered in Atlanta Georgia, from 1979 to 1981, 43 years ago. In 1986, 26 years ago, a mother came into her home to find her 7-year-old baby son in a pool of blood, brutally murdered and thrown on her kitchen floor; an unsolved murder and he is one of the thousands of child-murdered cases since then. In Buffalo recently, 10 people lost their lives senselessly to a mass shooting. Now, just days ago, 19 children and 3 adults were massacred in Uvalde, Texas. Hundreds of thousands more atrocious reports are added to these numbers over this 43-year time span, many unsolved…Are these signs that things are getting better; BY NO MEANS!
What effective steps have been taken to protect mankind from these atrocities during this 43-year span? What steps could you have taken?
