April 29, 2021 – The Women in Standards is proud to announce the addition of Barbara Martin to the organization’s Board of Directors. Barbara is the Director of Engineering and Technical Services at the American Water Works Association (AWWA), an ANSI-accredited standards developing organization and brings to the Board a wealth of knowledge and experience in the standardization industry.
Barbara has worked in the water sector for over 20 years and in her current role, Barbara leads a team of more than 30 staff and thousands of volunteers in the development of technical resources and programs, which includes the development and maintenance of more than 180 ANSI-accredited standards to support all facets of water system operation.
