ONTARIO, CANADA - 10/22/2018 (PRDistribution.com)
Cannabis is now legal in Canada and Governments have set up e-commerce stores allowing customers to buy weed online. There are also numerous private dispensaries that operate across the nation as a result of the Legalization which occurred on October 17th.
These government stores are experiencing extremely high volumes of orders. With the nation waiting for cannabis strains to be legal since Trudeau was elected in 2015. However, now Canadians can legally buy cannabis online in every province, the only caveat is - there is a very limited selection.
It is possible to legally buy weed online in Canada in these provinces:
There is an extremely high demand for all different kinds of strains, such as Indica, Sativa and Hybrids. Canadian’s showed up to their computers in numbers to find marijuana online and make their first recreational weed purchase. In fact, there were 4,000 transactions online in British Columbia alone.
However, many strains were out-of-stock on the very first day of sales. Furthermore, customers were not able to purchase certain products such as shatter, vapes, and edibles (which will become available in 2019).
As customers surfed the web to find their provincial governments Cannabis Store, many were left wondering how long until physical stores become a reality.
The current amount of stores to legally buy recreational weed across the country can be counted on one hand. Fortunately, various private websites selling medicinal marijuana are able to continue supplying the country offering patients the ability to mail themselves cannabis.
Canada is a pioneer in the legalization of Cannabis, becoming the 2nd nation in the world to do so, after Uruguay. Errors are inevitable, and Canada’s mistakes will provide a strong basis for other nations to follow in the future. For now, Canadians are all wondering – will there be any stock?
